Designer Hildur Yeoman is introducing her new range, Yulia, in designer boutique Kiosk tonight. The range comprises of feminine pieces using strong prints featuring natural stones and crystals and the range is also accompanied by a jewellery range.

"Yulia is inspired by my grandmother Julia who left her family in the 1940's to travel around the USA with a gang of bikers," explains Yeoman. "I dedicate the range to strong female characters, to people who want to break away from social norms."

Yeoman's grandmother, who was a Hungarian immigrant in the USA, was close to her gipsy roots and collected stones and crystals. "I was afraid of her as a child. My parents said that she had magical powers and she certainly looked like a witch," she laughs.

The essence of Yeoman's new range encapsules a gipsy, rock'n'roll, free spirit which is already enticing the women of Reykjavk, as according to Yeoman, some items are already selling out just after hitting the shop.

The Hildur Yeoman party takes place in Kiosk, tonight, Thursday between 17- 19 p.m.

Kiosk is open daily from 10- 22 until Christmas.
