Oscar nomination for Jóhannsson

Icelandic composer and musician Jóhann Jóhannsson has been nominated for an Oscar. This was announced today.
Jóhannson is nominated for best score for the score to The Theory of Everything. Jóhannsson won a Golden Globe for the score earlier this week and has also been nominated for a BAFTA.
"This is a great honour and I'm still coming down from the Golden Globe award," said Jóhannsson in an interview with mbl.is. Jóhann, who resides in Berlin says he is very proud of the film and the fact that he was able to take part in the project.
Jóhannsson is currently composing music for a new film directed by Denis Villeneuve.
