Food and Fun is back!
Yesterday saw the launch of the annual Reykjavik Food and Fun festival, which will be running till March 1. The festival will feature a great many top chefs from both America and Europe.
Food and Fun was officially opened yesterday afternoon at the Hotel and Culinary School ('Hótel- og matvælaskóli') in Kópavogur by Gunnar Bragi Sveinsson, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sigurður Ingi Jóhannsson, Minister for Fisheries and Agriculture, Ragnheiður Elín Árnadóttir, Minister for Industry and Commerce, Dagur B. Eggertsson, Mayor of Reykjavik, and Birkir Hólm Guðnason, CEO of Icelandair.
This is the 14th edition of the Food and Fun festival. The next few days will see chefs from abroad cook special meals in some of Reykjavik's top restaurants.
