Yesterday saw the launch of the annual Reykjavik Food and Fun festival, which will be running till March 1. The festival will feature a great many top chefs from both America and Europe.

Food and Fun was officially opened yesterday afternoon at the Hotel and Culinary School ('Hót­el- og mat­væla­skól­i') in Kópavogur by Gunn­ar Bragi Sveins­son, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sig­urður Ingi Jó­hanns­son, Minister for Fisheries and Agriculture, Ragn­heiður Elín Árna­dótt­ir, Minister for Industry and Commerce, Dag­ur B. Eggerts­son, Mayor of Reykjavik, and Birk­ir Hólm Guðna­son, CEO of Icelanda­ir.

This is the 14th edition of the Food and Fun festival. The next few days will see chefs from abroad cook special meals in some of Reykjavik's top restaurants.
