Benedetti in concert tonight - live broadcast

Violinist Nicola Benedetti will be performing tonight with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra in Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre in Reykjavik.

Scottish-Italian Benedetti who has performed at the Last Night of the Proms and is under contract to Deutsche Grammophon will be playing Mozart's Violin Concerto no.5 and the concert will be broadcasted, for the first time on Síminn TV. Tonight's concert will be conducted by Austrian conductor Hans Graf is Conductor Laureate of the Houston Symphony. 

<p>"This new cooperation with Síminn opens possibilites for the orchestra to visually broadcast concerts and reach people who can't attend our concerts in Harpa," explans managing director of the ISO, Arna Kristín Einarsdóttir. The Iceland Symphony Orchestra's concerts are broadcasted on RÚV national radio weekly and selected concerts have been broadcasted live on national television, but according to Einarsdóttir this new cooperation with Síminn they hope to reach a larger audience. </p> <p>Tonight''s concert starts at 7.30 p.m and is shown on channel 50 and in HD on channel 250 on the</p><a href="https://www.siminn.is/english/"> Síminn TV network. </a>
