Thursday is the official first day of summer in Iceland. We kid you not. The good news is, that despite whatever the weather gods may bring us this week, Thursday is a day off work. One of the more interesting events taking place on Thursday is a water-fight organised in the city centre by outdoor clothing company  66°North. The event, called H2O15 starts at 2 p.m.

Four water-fights will take place at an interval of fifteen minutes and participants will be provided with water pistols, buckets and water balloons. They will also be able to borrow the sturdy waterproof clothing of 66°North but wearing wellies is advised. The water-fight is open to anyone above the age of sixteen and you can register HERE  on the Facebook event after 12 noon today, Monday.
