David Cronenberg to be guest of honour at Reykjavik Film Festival

Director David Cronenberg, also known as the King of Venereal Horror, will be guest of honour at the Reykjavik International Film Festival (RIFF) this autumn. Cronenberg, whose films include Videodrome, Naked Lunch, Crash, Rabid and The Fly. RIFF takes place for the twelfth time between September 24th and October 4th.
Cronenberg will be receiving a lifetime achievment award at the festival and will host a masterclass at the festival which will screen a selection of his films.
Cronenberg is famous for his psychological exploration of human contradictions and idiosyncrasies,, focusing on the macabre aspects of human nature.
