Ásgeir Trausti performs on top of mountain

Icelandic musician Ásgeir Trausti performed on top of Mount Esja tonight at 6 p.m beneath beautiful sunny clear skies. The concert was organised by telecommunications company Nova and helicopter company Helo.

Mount Esja is the mountain that faces Reykjavik.

The concert was free of charge to all those braving the mountain climb, and Helo offered flights to any concert goers for a fee. DJ Yamaho spun records before Ásgeir Trausti's set. The weather conditions couldn't have been more beautiful, with one of the warmest days this summer yet and a beautiful blood red sun hanging low in the sky.

Ásgeir Trausti will be performing in Harpa on June 16th for anyone that missed the mountain venture.
