RIFF: First 40 films announced

With under three weeks to go till the opening of the Reykjavik International Film Festival (RIFF), the first forty films on the festival’s programme have been revealed.
RIFF will run from 24 September to 4 October.
The films announced cover a wide range of categories and topics – everything from a documentary about Mexican drug cartels to a film about an ex-con transsexual prostitute shot entirely on iPhones.
Film contributions come from all over the world, some premiering at RIFF, other having already received awards.
