The Greek tragedy will be performed at Harpa concert hall on Sunday. Admission is free.

On Sunday, a group of Icelandic actresses will perform the Trojan Women by Ancient Greek playwright Euripides at Harpa in support of today's refugee women. 

The tragedy, written some 2400 years ago is on the flight of the women of Troy.

The actresses will be arriving by boat from the old harbour to Harpa concert hall at around 3.30 pm on Sunday, and will then walk accompanied by torch carriers into the building. The play will be performed in the large central staircase of Harpa and admission is free. The Red Cross will however be on location to accept donations.  

The play will be performed by  Helga E. Jónsdóttir, Lilja Þórisdóttir, Bryndís Petra Bragadóttir, Guðrún Þórðardóttir, Kolbrún Erna Pétursdóttir, Anna Kristín Arngrímsdóttir, Esther Talía Casey and Álfrúnu Helgu Örnólfsdóttir. Choreography is by Lára Stefánsdóttir and costumes by Helga Björnsson.
