Icelandic horror movie gets a grant
Two Icelandic film directors, Þórður Pálsson and Ólafur de Fleur recently reveiced a three million ISK grant from Nordic Genre Boost.
Seven new genre projects from Denmark, Iceland, Finland and Norway were selected for Nordisk Film & TV Fond’s second round of the Nordic Genre Boost initiative.
Pálsson's film is a horror film called The Damned, set in a fishing village in Iceland in 1874.
de Fleur's film is a sci-fi thriller called East by Eleven. It revolves around a plot by a global organizaton to manifest memories from prisoners for investigative purposes.
