Reykjavik Music Walk: a trip though Iceland’s music history
‘The Reykjavik Music Walk’ is a free walking tour of some the landmark sites of the fascinating pop and rock history of Iceland, guided by popular Icelandic music historian and journalist Arnar Eggert Thoroddsen.
Walkers will enjoy a ninety-minute tour of some of the most significant live venues and hangouts of famous Icelandic artists such as Björk, the Sugarcubes and Sigur Rós.
Music expert Thoroddsen is on hand to answer people’s questions and tell the story of the remarkably fertile and successful Icelandic music scene and its place in the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik.
Tours leave from Reykjavik’s Harpa Concert Hall and Conferefnce Centre every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11:30am. The tour is free, but gratuities are welcome.
