Stockfish Film Festival kicks off today
Stockfish Film Festival takes place for the third time in Bíó Paradís, Icelander’s favourite cinema for non Hollywood blockbuster movies. The event programme is impressive, with interesting panels, master classes, concerts and children shows aside from a great variety of films of different genres.
The festival takes place in Reykjavik but it's international in essence, with movies from different countries as well as international guests and lecturers. Honorary guests this year are French director Alain Guiraudie and Croatian director Rajko Grlic. Both of them will there for a Q&A after the screening of their films.
The aim of the festival is to create a platform in Reykjavik to encourage collaboration between domestic and international film communities.
