Five Icelandic restaurants named in the Michelin Guide

The Michelin Guide is one of the most esteemed restaurant guides in the world and chefs og through immense troubles in pursuit of a Michelin star.
Only yesterday it was announced that DILL restaurant received a star from the Michelin Guide, and was the first restaurant in Iceland to achieve that. Icelandic chefs and culinary enthusiasts hope that this will further the interest in Iceland as a culinary destination.
Aside from DILL there are four other restaurants mentioned in the Michelin Guide, no surprise that they are all esteemed in Iceland and have been highly rated by other restaurant guides. These are Matur og drykkur, Vox at Hotel Hilton Nordica, Gallery at Hotel Holt and Grillið at Hotel Saga.
On Vox:
„A stylish restaurant and bar set off the lobby of the Hilton hotel. At lunch there's a popular hot and cold buffet; at dinner, choices include an à la carte and 'Season' and 'Seafood' tasting menus. Cooking is modern and creative.“
