Stormy weather for West Fjords today

Strong winds are forecast in the West Fjords of Iceland and down towards Snæfellsnes today, according to the Icelandic Meteorological Office. Storms are expected in the West Fjords.

The weather will be unsuitable for travel in Snæfellnes this morning and in the West Fjords most of the day. Conditions should settle down in the West Fjords this evening.

The IMO is still carefully monitoring the avalanche risk in the northernmost West Fjords reported in mbl.is yesterday.
