Parking fees at Keflavik International Airport in Iceland will go up on April 1st. The  biggest increase in parking fees is at the short-term parking area where the hourly rate goes up from 230 ISK to 500 ISK.

Long term parking rates also go up consierably. In an announcement from Isavia, the company running the airport services, it states that the increase is due to construction work in making further parking spaces at the airport.

Due to passenger increase at the airport, demand for parking space has also increased. At the moment there are 2.100 parking spaces at the airport.

Despite the increase in parking fees, Keflavik International Airport is still one of the cheapest for parking in Europe.
