Video: Life on a tiny remote island in Iceland
Auglýsingin endar eftir 5 sekúndur.
"I don‘t feel as though I‘m isolated here, it doesn‘t annoy me. If the weather is bad I can‘t go anywhere but that‘s just fine. It doesn‘t bother me at all," says Svavar Baldursson, farmer on the island of Vigur in the straits of Ísafjörður in the West Fjords.
It takes 40 minutes to sail from Vigur, a popular tourist destination in summer, to Ísafjörður. Vigur is an island of natural wonders with high mountains and deep fjords. Around 9 thousand tourists visited Vigur last year.
Iceland Monitor's videographer Hallur Már Hallsson paid Vigur a visit last week.
