Snowstorm expected today

The first snowfall of the season might occur in Reykjavík today and the weather outlook for most parts of Iceland is for strong winds, snow or sleet. People are advised to pick another day to travel to northern Iceland or the westfjords.
The National Meterological Office also particularly warns people who have not changed the tyres of the car for winter to stay put as roads in many areas of the country could get very icy.
