The snow that fell last night has melted slightly during the day. Freezing temperatures are expected towards the evening and according to the Icelandic Road Administration this will cause roads to become dangerously icy.
Currently there are patches of ice on Sandskeið and Hellisheiði in the south, snowy and icy roads in the west fjords, and heavy wind and snow in the north and east of Iceland.
