There's a considerable price difference in the search results of Dohop depending whether you're Icelandic or not. Mbl.is proved that by simply switching your settings to Spain for example, Dohop finds a much higher airfare
When searching for a flight from Barcelona, Spain to Iceland on December 18th and back on January 5th the cheapest flight costs 57.282 ISK with EasyJet and WOW air if your computer is set to Iceland. However on changing settings to Spain the cheapest flight is Air France and Icelandair costing 99.124 which is a 73 % difference in price.
According to Kristján Guðni Bjarnason, managing director of Dohop in Iceland this occurs due to technical limitations with different data controlling the results. "If you're from Iceland the search engine doesn't use the same data." He adds however that he would like to do much better as Dohop strives to find the lowest airfare wherever you come from.
