Síminn blocks access to torrent sites

The Reykjavik District Magistrate has made a ruling for telecommunications company Siminn to block access to Icelandic torrent site deildu.net and one of the largest torrent websites in the world, Pirate Bay. The websites to be blocked are www.deildu.net,www.deildu.com. www.iceland.pm, www.thepiratebay.se. www.thepiratebay.sx and www.thepiratebay.org. Access will be blocked today.
An announcement from Síminn the company states that they support respect for copywright laws and that the company has offered films and music to subscribers for a fair price to combat illegal download. Síminn for example offers Spotify access to subscribers.
