Rescue teams search for missing tourist

Police and rescue teams have been searching for Arkadiusz Pawel Maciag, who is on a visit to a friend in Iceland, since yesterday afternoon. Maciag, who is lost in the Reykjanes peninsula, was reachable by phone yesterday. He could not state his location but said that he was cold and wet.  Rescue teams believe he is alive due to data received by his mobile phone.

The local police are asking for help to locate him and anyone who is aware of his whereabouts are urged to call 420- 1800. Maciag is dressed in a black jacket, black trousers and black shoes. 

A helicopter from the Icelandic coast guard flew over the area last night with no results. Around 80 people are currently taking part in the search.
