Snow over the weekend

The snow's here to stay - for a while at least. According to the Icelandic met office there will be frost for the next couple of days which means that the snow won't melt. However, they warn of icy patches on roads and walking paths. Pedestrians are urged to take care today as the icy patches can be covered with snow. 

Some heavy winds are expected in south Iceland towards the evening and into the night with snowfall.
