Iceland faces another snow storm this weekend and plunging temperatures according to the weather forecast and it looks like we could have a rather Arctic Christmas ahead.

On Saturday, heavy winds, snowfall and sleet are expected in the afternoon and into the evening. Winds could reach up to 20 meters per second, especially on the south and west coast. Temperatures on Saturday night go above zerso but on Sunday, the freeze is back.

Thankfully, no further storms are predicted until Christmas except possibly on the West Fjords where it could get more than breezy on Sunday.

According to the Iceland Meterological Office the likelihood of a cold, white Christmas is strong and it doesn't look like the snow is going anywhere yet.
