An open panel discussion on  Muslims in Icelandic society takes place today in Iðnó in the centre of Reykjavík at 1 p.m today. The topics addressed are freedom of religion, freedom of speech and possible dangers caused by extremists in society. 

The panel discussion is titled: Are Muslims in Iceland dangerous? Those who are unable to attend can see it live on netsamfelag.is. Those taking part in the panel discussion are Bjarni Randver Sigurvinsson, theologian and specialist in religious studies, Einar Már Guðmundsson, author, Gústaf Níelsson, historian, Margrét Steinarsdóttir, director of the Icelandic human rights office, Nadia Tamimi, store manager, Salvör Kristjana Gissurardóttir, University professor, Sólveig Anna Jónsdóttir, activist and preschool teacher and Sverrir Agnarsson, head of the Icelandic Muslim Association.
