It seems that only three cats of the Bengal variety were stolen from the Nátthagi breeders on Wednesday night. One of the cats, called Kiss me, was found hiding under a sofa last night. "He's obviously in shock and hasn't meowed since I found him," says owner Ólafur Sturla Njálsson who found him shivering under the sofa. "I imagine that he was frightened and that's what saved him from the thieves. I saw evidence to the fact that the thieves searched for him but were obviously unable to find him."

Njálsson pleaded with the thieves to return the cats last night, promising no legal aftermath to the incident, but to no avail as the cats have not been returned. The missing cats are called Ísabella Sóley , Platinum Prince and Kysstu lífið Lukka.

Police are still investigating the matter.
