US Ambassador buys a lopapeysa and eats a hot dog
The new US Ambassador to Iceland, Robert C. Barber, published a video on the Embassy's Facebook page where he describes his first weeks in Iceland. He's full of admiration for places such as Gullfoss, Geysir and Þingvellir, he's purchased a "lopapeysa", which is an Icelandic woolen sweater, and eaten at "Bæjarins bestu", Iceland's most famed hot dog stand.
The Ambassador has also visited Hallgrímskirkja church and Harpa concert hall and says he looks forward to seeing more of the country. Healso tries his hand at speaking Icelandic in the video which ends with the closing words, "Sjáumst síðar" ( See you later).
