Plunging temperatures and a a hurricane this evening

According to the Iceland met office, a hurricane will hit south Iceland approaching midnight on Saturday with average winds of 28 metres per second. "Due to some snow on the ground, this means that visibility will be poor with the worst weather in south and south-east Iceland," says Óli Þór Árnason at the Iceland met office. The current temperature in Reykjavík is -9 degrees Celsius with temperatures plunging to -20 in some places in Iceland.
The current temperature around Mývatn in north Iceland is -15 degrees Celsius.
