"Have a nice day indoors"

The south of Iceland endured some rather extreme weather on Sunday with strong winds and snowfall. The Westman Islands to the south of Iceland were hit pretty hard and this video published by the local police shows exactly how the weather looked yesterday morning in the main street. 

"Dear Westman Islander. All roads in town are unpassable except by jeep," stated a Facebook post by the Westman Islands police yesterday. "The weather is very bad with wind and snow. As it's Sunday we ask you all to just stay put until the weather goes down and snow trucks can start shovelling snow off the streets. Have a nice day indoors."
