More fifteen and sixteen-year-olds in Iceland have tried e-cigarettes than actual cigarettes.
This is one of the findings of a new study carried out by the Icelandic Centre for Social Research and Analysis (ICSRA). According to the data collected, 17.1% of fifteen and sixteen-year-olds said they had tried e-cigarettes, while just 15% had tried real cigarettes.
This is the first time that the ICSRA has included questions on e-cigarettes in its studies on drug use among young people.
