A coach overturned on the Hvalfjörður road, south west Iceland around noon today. The road was very icy and overturned on a hill near Hotel Glymur. There were 37 children and eight adults on the bus, on their way to a chess tournament. Two adults and two children were transported to hospital but noone was seriously injured.

The group sought shelter at the nearby hotel where they received assistance for minor cuts and bruises and now await transport back to Reykjavik. "Most of the children are very shocked, said Björn Ívar Karlsson, one of the teachers on the coach. "Thankfully we escaped well considering the circumstances. The children will receive first aid treatment for shock at the Red Cross once they arrive in Reykjavík.
