Dead woman not yet identified

The body found yesterday near the Sun Voyager sculpture in central Reykjavik is that of a woman aged around 60.
Death not suspicious
Reykjavik Metropolitan Police is working on identifying the woman, who was found dead on the shore in central Reykjavik yesterday morning. The woman is estimated to have died within 24 hours of her being found and police are not treating her death as suspicious.
According to Friðrik Smári Björgvinsson, Chief Inspector of the Reykjavik Metropolitan Police, the Icelandic Coast Guard has deployed a helicopter to scour the coast along Sæbraut in search of clues as to where the woman might have fallen into the sea.
Appeal for information
The woman was around 60 years of age, 5'5" (165cm) tall, approx. 80kg in weight and had short, blonde hair. She was wearing a gold bracelet on her left arm and a large scar on her right foot.
