Dead body identified

The Reykjavik City Police has uncovered the identity of a dead body that washed up on the shores of Central Reykjavik on Monday. The victim is an Icelandic woman living in Reykjavik. She was unmarried and had no children.

According to police, a relative of the woman who had begun to worry about her contacted the police.

The Reykjavik City Police wishes to thank everybody who assisted in the investigation, but has no further information to give at this time.
