KFC running out of C

KFC will run out of chicken pieces this weekend if ongoing strike action is not resolved, warns the director of the chain in Iceland.
No chickens have been slaughtered for food in Iceland since 20 April, when members of the Icelandic Veterinary Association came out on strike over pay.

“We have chicken to last us until Sunday and shall definitely be open until then,” says Kristín Helgadóttir, Director of KFC Iceland.
“But we will have to close if things are not sorted out. Next week, we will have chicken burgers and fillets, but chicken pieces are running out,” Helgadóttir warns.
The KFC restaurant in Selfoss is closed today and tomorrow due to strike action by the Icelandic Professional Trade Association (SGS). The SGS strike has also caused the closure of three Domino’s Pizza restaurants (Akranes, Selfoss and Akureyri) today and tomorrow.
