Tourists seriously injured in car crash
Three people were transported with the National coastguard helicopter this morning to the National University Hospital in Reykjavik after a car overturned near Hellissandur, west Iceland this morning.
Six people were in the jeep, all of them tourists travelling around Iceland. The chief of police in west Iceland says that road accidents involving tourists are becoming increasingly common. The reasons he cites are that they are not used to the weather conditions and the often harsh roads.
