Iceland bags first gold!

Iceland has won its first gold medal at the 2015 Games of the Small States of Europe.

Íris Eva Ein­ars­dótt­ir has won gold in the women’s air rifle competition, scoring 200.1 points, 3.4 points ahead of the silver-medal position. Iceland’s Jór­unn Harðardótt­ir finished in fifth position with 137.2 points.

The very first gold medal of the Games was awarded in the men’s event and was won by Liechtenstein’s Mark-Andre Reinhard Kessler, who scored 198.8 points.
