Girl plunges into ocean

A ten year old girl was rescued from the ocean at Krossanes, Akureyri last night when playing with a friend. Police and an ambulance were called out to save her.
Locals in the area saw the girl in the sea and came to her rescue before police arrived. She had a nosebleed and minor injuries from the fall and was very cold, but otherwise unharmed and was taken to Akureyri hospital. Police say that what saved her is that the ocean was very still last night. í
