One crew member drowns in shipwreck
A map of where the vessel perished, just outside of Aðalvik in the West Fjords.
News have just been reported that a vessel called Jón Hákon perished just off Aðalvík in Hornstrandir, West Fjords this morning.
The vessel is from Bíldudalur, north Iceland. One man drowned in the accident and two were rescued. A helicopter from the National Coast Guard was called out but was finally not sent to the scene of the accident.
