A twenty-year-old man living in Norway,  who according to sources of mbl.is is Icelandic, has been accused of violence towards a two-year-old boy. The little boy was badly injured and suffered a broken arm.

The district attorney, Unni Byberg Malmin,  of the Stavanger police in Norway would not confirm to mbl.is this morning whether the man in custody is Icelandic. Malmin could not disclose further information on the severity of the child's injuries but said that the child was recovering in hospital.

Police believe that the boy was attacked both outside of and inside his home. The man and the boy's mother are in a relationship.
