Hit-and-run in the Reykjavik suburbs

A man in his forties was run over this morning in Hraunbær, Reykjavik, and the driver of the car who hit him drove away and has not come forward to police. 

The victim, who was about to get into his car at 7 am was suddenly hit by a dark coloured car driving at great speed. 

The man who was run over is somwhat  injured but managed to call an ambulance himself. We have no further details of his injuries as yet.
