Jubilation at Leicester City’s stunning victory of the English Premier League this season is not confined to the city of 330,000 in central England – it has even reached Iceland.

Sigurðsson has supported the Foxes for some forty years – standing out from the very many in Iceland who have chosen historically more successful teams.
“I was a big fan of goalkeepers back in the day and both Gordon Banks and Peter Shilton played for Leicester City,” he explains. “I have always supported the underdog!”
Beating odds of 5,000-1, Leicester won the English Premier League on Monday evening.
