Two of the passengers involved in Sunday’s helicopter crash have returned to their home country.

According to Icelandic national broadcaster RÚV, there were two Icelanders, one Dane and two Finns aboard the helicopter, which crashed near the Hengill volcano in South Iceland.

The helicopter, owned by jailed Icelandic banker Ólafur Ólafsson, was on a sightseeing trip when the accident occurred. He sustained back and neck injuries in the crash.

The two Finns have left Iceland and will remain under medical supervision back home. The Danish passenger and the pilot underwent treatment yesterday.

The Icelandic Transportation Safety Board is conducting an investigation of the crash site.
