Fourteen-year-old girl attacked in Reykjavik park
A fourteen-year-old girl was attacked on Sunday night when she was walking home from a friend's house. The attack occurrred on Rauðarárstígur on the corner of Klambratún park in central Reykjavik.
When the girl was walking past a man jumped behind her, grabbed her arm, put his hand in front of her mouth and dragged her behind a bush. When the girl fell from the impact the man ran away.
According to the victim, the perpetrator wore gloves and his face was covered up.
The Reykjavik Metropolitan are investigating the incident and no suspect has been found yet.
