Announcement to parents in Reykjavik if weather worsens
<p>The Reykjavik Metropolitan Police have issued a statement for parents of school children younger than 12 years old to pick them up at the end of the school day or after school programmes due to the bad weather conditions. </p>
<span><span>The weather conditions in the Reykjavik area have deteriorated and parents and/or guardians of children younger than 12 are asked to pick up their children at the end of the school day or afterschool programs. If parents or guardians are not equipped to pick up their children during the storm, we ask them to wait until the weather improves. The children will be kept safe at school until they are collected.</span></span>
