World famous Polish detective, Krzystof Rutkowski, is coming to Iceland to search for Artur Jarmoszko. Artur is Polish but has been living in Iceland for some years. He went missing on 1 March, the police and Icelandic Search and Rescue searched for him, but to no avail and the search was put to an end on 20 March. His family is hired Rutowski as they were not happy with how the Icelandic police is handling the case.

Rutowski is 57 years old, a former member of the Polish parliament and has the nick name “Rambo”. His name has come up in the international press a number of times. Once for his part in smuggling two children from Norway to Poland. They had been the custody of Norwegian Child Protection Authority.

Who's not answering?

“The police has not answered the phone and not called us back. We know there were some tip-offs but we don’t know if it led to something because the police has neither answered my calls or Roberts, Artur’s brother. We last heard from them a week after they quit searching,” says Elwira Landowska, Artur’s cousin.

The Police says this is not true and the reason for them not speaking is because Robert and Elwira haven’t answered their calls.
