Russians claim Iceland is supporting "Ukranian Nazis"

Maria Sakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, says that Iceland trains Ukrainian marines in its territory. She says that mercenaries from Iceland travel to Ukraine.
This is reflected in a statement, published on X by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, criticizing Iceland’s support for Ukraine and saying that Iceland supports the Ukrainian Nazis.
The peaceful nature of Iceland is also questioned.

Iceland has taken over the training of Ukrainian naval officers who receive practical training with Iceland in maritime science, surveillance, and operations at sea, including search and rescue.
The project is part of the transatlantic training program.
Iceland's Foreign Minister stresses support for Ukraine
