Strike-averting agreement imminent
A new collective wage agreement for four Icelandic unions is expected to be ratified at 2pm today, averting major strike action.
Representatives of the Icelandic Union of Commercial and Office Workers (VR), the Commercial Federation of Iceland (LÍV), Flóabandalagið and Stéttarfélag Vesturlands met with SA – Business Iceland met at 8:30 this morning to hammer out the final details of the agreement.
