Since midnight about 65 earthquakes have been detected at the Bardarbunga caldera and similar number at the northern part of the dyke. The largest earthquakes were at the northern rim of the Bardarbungu caldera at 01:10 with magnitude 5.1 and at 17:11 with magnitude 5.
Two earthquakes of magnitude 4 and 4.5 occurred at th esouthern rim of the caldera at 17:04 and 17:05. Seven earthqukes between 3-4 were alsi detected at the Bardarbungu caldera.
About 15 earthquakes have been detected at Herdubreid/Herdubreidartogl and also a few at Tungnafellsjokull volcano, all less than 2 in magnitude
