Pye Corner Audio plays Reykjavik this weekend

British electronic music artist Pye Corner Audio will be performing at two venues this weekend in Reykjavík. This is his debut performance in Iceland and he will be performing with Icelandic bands Good Moon Deer and Deep Peak at Mengi on October 10th and Paloma bar on October 11th. 

Pye Corner Audio is the alias of British musician Gareth Jenkins who is considered one of the rising stars of the British electronic scene.  Under the title “The Head Technician” he has released a body of moody, densely textured and atmospheric electronic music, touching upon influences from the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, to John Carpenter and JG Ballard. 

Pye Corner Audio first came to the attention of the public in 2010 with his self-released Black Mill Tapes Vo1 1-4, which was followed in 2012 with the album Sleep Games on the renowned Ghost Box label. Both albums received praise in the UK from likes of The Quietus, MOJO, The Wire Magazine, Drowned In Sound, and The BBC.
