The hardest thing I have ever done & the best day of my life💙 . At 3:30 am on january 13th I woke up with a strange feeling. I thought I might pee myself so I ran to the bathroom and as soon as I got to the bathroom my water broke. 10 minutes later I had my first labor contraction. It was pretty strong but I was able to breath through it. In the next hour I had contractions every 3-5 minutes & each contraction became more and more powerful. I got to the hospital at 4:30 for a check up and I was 4 cm dialated. My contraction were getting closer and I could not belive them getting any worse. I got a birthing room & when I got to the room I fell to the ground in soooo much pain! I felt like there was no rest between & thats when I asked for an epidural. My plan was not to have an epidural but I was willing to try everything to make the pain go away! While I was waiting for the epidural I started to throw up during most contractions😰 This was the WORST pain I have ever felt in my life!!! As soon as I got the epidural the pain went away which made me sooooo happy as you can see in the third photo & yes I know how sexy my outfit is😆 . Everything went pretty well for the next 8 hours or so but then my babys heart rate started to drop😰 At that time I was about 8 cm dialated. I had to lay on my right side to get it back up. That worked for some time but when I was almost fully dialated it stopped working😣 He had to come out as soon as possible! I got a drug to speed up the dialation so I could start pushing him out. The pushing part was not painful at all because I still had the epidural but it was hard to know if I was pushing or not. The doctor and midwifes told me I was doing a good job so I kept on going. After couple of pushes I got an episiotomy to make more room for him to get out. In the end he was taken out with a vaccuum device. . It was pretty dramatic at the end but my baby boy came out alive!🥰 . So thankful for the @ljosmaedur staff at @landspitali & the doctors who helped me💖 Also thankful for my boyfriend @ingimarel & my sister @kamillagnarr who were there with me💖💖 . #birthstory #hospitalbirth #pregnancy #41weeks #babyboy #episiotomy #labor
