Dozens of livestock saved from drowning in flooding last night
Yesterday there were a record number of cases for the Reykjavik capital area fire department, a total of 100.
"We've never experienced anything like it,"said chief Stefán Kristinsson. Around 30 sheep and 15 horses were saved at Fjárborgir, animals who were standing up to their stomachs in water and surrounded by a lake of water.
There were many other cases of flooding, a car park cellar in Kópavogur was completely flooded for example.
